I’m normally on the other side of the camera and the notepad, scribbling down thoughts and snapping a shot here and there. I’ve written about multi-million-dollar wins by players at the WSOP, covered $40 buy-ins at small central California cardrooms, written about bank robberies, game-winning field goals, murders, kindergarten field trips and the Oakland Raiders in my journalism career.

What I can’t recall is the last time I was reading about myself. That is, until today.

Robbie Strazynski – the owner/publisher of CardplayerLifestyle.com – put together a great article on me as part of his ‘Get to Know the Poker Media‘ feature that he’s been publishing for a few years now.

Thanks, Robbie, for a very fun article. I was sitting outside a Starbucks in Turlock, CA, just getting ready to go in for coverage on an event in their 15th Anniversary Championship Series, when we found time in our combined hectic schedules, for an interview for this article.

Sitting with a cup of coffee in my hand for an interview just seemed perfect, for anyone who knows me or comes across me at a poker tournament anywhere (amirite, Jeremy Smith?) knows I have coffee with me as often as I do my laptop and camera.
