Jake Baumgartner made his way through a HPT East Chicago Labor Day Weekend record-crowd of 653 entries to emerge as the champion, earning $209,564, including an entry in November’s HPT Season Championship at Ameristar East Chicago.

The final table was nearly a 12-hour-long marathon challenge that left the players wiped out from the challenge of being sharp and on-game for that long. A 653-entry filed crates those challenges and Baumgartner survived the best at the end.
