Our Poker Live Updates team heads back to our northern Nevada home to provide live coverage throughout the tournament series, with more than $900,000 in guarantees spread across a packed tournament schedule of 37 tournaments and satellites taking place over the course of 11 days.
Some of the highlights from the tournament series schedule include a two-flight $600 buy-in Mini Main with a guaranteed prize pool worth $150,000 kicking things off on Friday, April 3; a $600 buy-in Mystery Bounty with a guaranteed prize pool worth $100,000 on Thursday, April 9; and the two-flight $1,100 buy-in Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 starting Friday, April 10.
The Main Event’s two starting flights on the 10th and 11th have cards into the air at 11 am. The final day of the Main takes place at Noon on Sunday, April 12, and a free breakfast is provided for players by the Peppermill at 10:30 am Sunday be.fore Day 2 action begins.
Player of Series
There are a number of fun perks offered by the Peppermill during the tournament series while players chase their chance to win any of the 30 championship medals and 13 trophies up for grabs during the series. There is also a medal and trophy to the winner of the Player of the Series provided at Monday, April 13th’s awards ceremeny where the Top-10 in the Player of the Series race receive their prizes.
While some tours offer a $10,000 prize for playing a year’s worth of tournaments, Peppermill Reno pays out $50,000 total – $15,000 to the winner, for just 10 days of competition – and this is Rake-FREE.
Players earns point for in-the-money finishes in all open tournaments during the 10 Palooza dates. Points are updated each morning, and on the final day the points are updated each hour as players race for more points and sweat how their challengers are running.
A great selection of events are included on the schedule, with non NLH games spread including, Dealers Choice PLO Double Bomb Board Pot, pot-limit Big O, Crazy Pineapple, Omaha Hi-Lo, PLO Double Stack, Triple Triple Draw, and the 8-Game-Mic Championship on Tuesday, April 7. There are also be Casino Employees, Ladies, and Seniors events on the hold’em side of the menu along with many other variations.
Cash-game action will be running 24 hours per day during the event, and satellites run many times a day as well. Multi-day tournaments feature free breakfast for all players that advance to Day 2, and there is a Palooza Welcome Dinner at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 6th.
