Casinos, poker rooms and cardrooms across the US are beginning to reopen as state-by-state quarantine restrictions begin easing. California has a series of cardroom-only ‘casinos,’ and one 6-poker-table room re-opened today.

Towers Casino in Grass Valley, according to staff there and the cardroom’s website, has three of its six tables in use. Staff stated today full 9-handed cash games are available, with no tournaments scheduled at this time. Staff stated they are using state-recommended cleaning procedures.

“Staff members will be wearing face masks or shields. Patrons will be required to wear face masks,” the cardroom’s website states.

Jamul Casino San Diego has a ‘soft-open’ for the next three days. Only its top-tier customers are in, with the full casino open 24/7 starting on Thursday. The poker room opens for business on Thursday, according to Poker Room Manager John Rochfort.

Those are the only two California poker rooms opening this week – that we know of right now.

One South Dakota poker room and one in Texas is already open, both playing with limited-numbers of players and limited tables as well.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa in Florida is posted on its website as re-opening this Thursday. There is no specific mention of the poker room in the website notification.

Ante Up Magazine has a running list of all U.S. poker rooms and their current status listed, the list updated as information is provided.
