Starting the 9-handed final table with 35 percent of the chips in play, Chris Moon orbited to victory in the Heartland Poker Tour $1,650 Main Event yesterday at Ameristar East Chicago.

Moon defeated Art Zverkhovskyy heads-up to take home the top prize of $187,399 – including a $3,500 package to the HPT Season XV Championships. Zverkhovskyy picked up $113,605 for his runner-up finish in the four-starting-flight 570-entry main event.

Moon eliminated five of his eight final-table opponents en route to his victory. Here’s our full wrap-up and all the main event coverage we provided at HPTupdates.com. We are in our fifth season of being the Live Updates team for all HPT Main Events across the US.
