Vincent Chung already has one win in the Turlock Poker Room 15th Anniversary Championship Series – the $200 6-Max last Saturday. He needs a win in this $550 Mian Event for more than one reason.
Sure, winning the main event is the goal for every player in the tournament, but Chung has a second focus as he takes the Day 1B chiplead with 88,000 as Level 5 wraps up.
Sitting 5th on the Series Champion Leaderboard with 142 points, Chung needs both a main event victory and to have David Covarrubias miss the money for Chung to have a shot at winning the Series Champion title.
There’s other factors as well, including the main event finish places of the others ahead of him on the leaderboard, but Chung can only control his own play and finish, then let the results go where they may.
