Two of nine tournaments are complete in the Turlock Poker Room 15th Anniversary Series and David Covarrubias has the lead in the race for the Casino Champion title.
Covarrubias placed third in Event 1 – $125 with $25 bounties – and took one step up the ladder yesterday with a 2nd-place finish in the $150 Big Blind Ante.
He’s at 160 points through two events, followed by the winners of the two tournaments – Jonathan Pablo and Ray Blair.
Earn Series Champion points by making the money (not from paying the bubble) in any of the nine tournaments in the series.
