LEVEL – 17      ANTE – 6000     BLINDS – 3000/6000      ENTRIES – 7/78

The eliminations of Russ Coffee (8th) and Nabil Esho (9th) cut the $150 Big Blind Ante field to 7.

Players are back from a break and Shayne Heine (132,000 stack) lets the table know there’s no chop-talk as long as he’s at the table unless he’s chipleader because he wants the Series Champion points.

First hand back from break involves David Covarrubias and Jerry Utke, with Covarrubias moving in for 93,000 on the Ah-Th-Qc flop, then playfully taunting Utke to try and get a call. Covarrubias even lets Utke know he saw the Ad in Utke’s hand as it was shuffled back-n-forth while Utke tanks.

“Don’t fold that Ace, don’t fold that Ace of Diamonds,” says Covarrubias.

Utke finally does call and Covarrubias celebrates as he tables K-J for Broadway, and Utke shows 4h to go along with the Ad.

Turn 2 and Utke is drawing dead. Don’t you hate it when you’re drawing dead and you get there? Yep, Utke hit trip-Aces on the river.

Covarrubias moves to 232,000, Utke falls to 60,000.
