LEVEL – 1 ANTE – 0 BLINDS – 100/100 ENTRIES – 37

There was decent action preflop her in Day 1A of the $100k GTD Ante Up Jamul $550 Main Event, but all the fireworks came on the turn between Ante Up Jamul Omaha8 winner Eric Bradford and Tim Heredia.

There was already 8,800 in the pot when I made it over on the turn, the board reading 3d – 5d – Qd -Qh. Bradford led out, Heredia bumped it up to 12,500 and Bradford moved all in for 27,200 – what looked to be almost exactly what Heredia had behind.

The debate lasted about two minuted between Heredia and himself, and he found a call, turning over Jd – Td for a flopped straight.

Bradford showed 5h – 5c for a flopped set that turned a boat. The river 8s gave Bradford the double and the countdown showed Heredia needed to be be called back – he was leaving the tournament area already – because he still has 500 chips remaining.

Those 500 chips left soon after and Heredia is out, able to re-enter until the start of Level 9 at about 8:25pm tonight – or at any time during Saturday’s Day 1b registration period of Noon to 4:25pm.
