The first two-time World Poker Tour winner this season is Erkut ‘Eric’ Yilmaz, who wins the WPT Rolling Thunder $5,000 Main Event at Thunder Valley Resort outside Sacramento, CA.

Yilmaz, a former Sacramento-area resident who now lives near Philadelphia, defeated a 280-entry field to take home the $303,920 first-place prize. Yilmaz moves in to the top spot on the season-long WPT Player of the Year leaderboard with this win, combined with his WPT Borgata win earlier in the season.

He defeated Jim Collopy heads-up for the win, Collopy earning $200,780 as runner-up.

Here’s the updates from our ThunderValleyPoker.com blog and the WPT Live Updates reporting from the tournament.
