Carl ‘bustmyaces’ Hutchins, played Thursday in the World Poker Tour’s main event at the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown in Hollywood, Fla.
Carl won his way in via a WPT seat tournament on our online poker partner ClubWPT.com, defeating more than 3,000 players to win the chance to play in a $2 million guarantee WPT event.

FIRST BREAK UPDATE: 2pmEST – Carl is down about a third of his starting stack, He drew WPT Player of the Year Joe “floesknowshoes” Serock and Tony Cousineau at his starting table. Carl lost a pretty good-sized pot to Cousineau during level 2.
SECOND BREAK UPDATE: 4:15pmEST – Carl is back up over starting stack now, at about 38,000 in chips. Serock was trying to push him around, Carl said, but he played back and Serock settled down! Next break will be the tournament’s dinner break.

AND HE’S OUT: With 8,000 already in the pot preflop, Carl moved all-in on a Q-high flop while holding AQ, only to run in to Tony Cousineau’s KK and Tony took Carl out of the tournament 20 minutes before the dinner break.
FRIDAY UPDATE: Carl played in the $50,000 guarantee side event tonight, but did not run great. He move all-in on a J-8-3 flop, holding KK. His opponent called with 36o. Carl sure seemed to be good, until the 6 fell on the river to eliminate him from the tournament.
