Jonathan George outlasted James Hoytko and Ian Kalman in a lengthy three-handed battle to claim top honors in the 2017 Ante Up World Championship at Thunder Valley Resort in northern California.

George earned $60,248 for the event that drew 489 entries and created a $715,407 prize pool. The poker room drew its single-day record 342 entries for the final starting flight, that day on its own covered the $500,000 tournament guarantee.

The final 10 players in the tournament agreed to modify the payouts, with each player receiving at least $35,000. The players left $10,000 to play out at the final table for the champion, along with the cover of next month’s Ante Up magazine.
