21-year-old Ben Scrogins outlasted a 282-entry Heartland Poker Tour $1650 field at Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club to grab the win Monday, making it through a final table that included the likes of Cord Garcia and Nick Schwarmann.
Scrogins was one of the dominant stacks through all three days he played the Main Event, parlaying his aggressive style to a $94,515 cash plus entry in the HPT Season XIII Season Championships at Ameristar St. Charles in December.
