Gregory Thomas, aka GTPoker HR, made a great run this week at the World Poker Tour’s Borgata Open main event. Gregory won his seat by defeating more than 3000 players in a winner-take-all freeroll on ClubWPT.com.

Gregory worked his Day 1B starting stack of 30,000 chips up to about 52,000 by dinner break on Monday. He maintained that stack size through the rest of the day, bagging 52,100 chips at the end of the night.

Day 2 on Tuesday kicked off at Noon EST, and Gregory started chipping up slowly. He was at about 68,000 chips early in the day, moving up to 105,000 as his high point. He dropped back a bit, then doubled up with KK v AQ to get back to 85,000 just before dinner break. His two-day run came to a close just before the end of Day 2 when, in a 135,000-chip pot his TT fell to A9 when the other player rivered a straight.

Gregory finished 180th out of the 1226 total entries, knocking off 85 percent of the field and ending just 60 players from the money.

Here is a look at Monday’s video the WPT staff did with him here.
