David Larson – the short stack when final table play began – wins the 2018 World Poker Tour Rolling Thunder Main Event at Thunder Valley Resort in northern California, defeating ‘Fold of the Decade‘ candidate Ian Steinman heads-up.
Larson was one of the short stacks from 3 tables left, all the way to the start of final table play in the brand-new TVPokerRoom at Thunder Valley.
Larson doubled up on the second hand at the final table, then mostly stayed out of the way until 3-handed with Steinman and Joe McKeehen. Larson was on an amazing heater from that point forward, almost every combination of cards working for him as he captured the title.
