Quy Luu made it through a massive 1,173-entry field to take top honors in the $150,000 Guaranteed $300 Prime Social Houston Signature Series Kickoff.
Luu earned $45,055, defeating Derrick Contreras heads-up for the title and the trophy, Contreras earning $30,200 as runner-up.
The Kickoff featured six different starting flights to accommodate the large crowd at the 25-table social club in Houston. The field created a prize pool nearly double the guarantee.
Next weekend features a $200,000 Guaranteed H-Town Special, and the $500,000 Guaranteed $1,100 Main Event is set for Feb. 24-28.
