Seven hours of final table play wrapped up tonight with veterinarian Shawn McCracken taking down the Heartland Poker Tour Main Event title At Ameristar Kansas City.

McCracken defeated Travis Hiteshew heads-up in a battle decided on a flip that Hiteshew missed, leaving him with just 3BB.

The tournament drew 279 entries, a prize pool just shy of $400,000 and a $91k payday for McCracken.

Our Hold’em Live Updates team provided the tournament coverage – as we’ve done for all HPT Main Events since late 2015. You can check out the full coverage here.
