McVeigh Wins HPT Black Hawk

Jay McVeigh came back form 7BB – all in, and needing a river Ace to avoid a 9th-place finish – to win the September 2019 Heartland Poker Tour Main Event at Gates Poker Room in Black Hawk, CO.

McVeigh outlasted a 412-entry field to collect his largest career poker tournament prize of $137,876, defeating Tan Hoang heads-up for the title.

This was McVeigh’s 3rd career HPT final table, with a HPT Kansas City 7th in 2016 and a 6th in 2016.
