Some six weeks after taking 8th in the WSOP Main Event, Jarod Minghini decided to dip his toes back into the poker waters and come to Graton Poker Room for the end of its WSOP Circuit Series.
Sure, he was dipping his toes in the Aegean Sea the week before while on a yacht cruising between Greece and Turkey, but the pokers call from time to time.
His circuit Main Event did not go as planned, so he was a late Day 1 entry into their $100,000 Guarantee $1,125 NLH.
On to Day 2 he moved, into the winner’s circle he ended up, defeating Abhishek Rajagopal (2nd, $18,052) to claim his sixth career circuit ring.
The former professional snowboarder – who now dedicates a portion of his time teaching snowboarding to kids via the foundation he established in his brother Bobby’s name – plays poker as a hobby, one he just so happens to be extremely good at.
Ring No. 6 is now added to his collection. He’s likely to take a run at another ring or more when the circuit heads next month to TVPokerRoom and in late October down the street from his house at Caesars Republic (aka Harvey’s Tahoe).
Here is your Official Order of Finish.
