Lakeside Inn, a small Nevada Casino located near Lake Tahoe in Stateline, announced Tuesday afternoon they are not going to reopen once COIVID-19 restrictions are listed.
The casino, next door to the Hard Rock Casino and down the street from Harveys/Harrahs, housed a 3-table poker room and was a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
A message posted on the casino’s website details the closure.
“After 35 years of being a source of entertainment for thousands of guests, we are permanently closing our doors. This includes all areas of our business including our casino, restaurant, and hotel,” the message states. “This decision was not made lightly. We hoped that we would be able to resume operations once this COVID-19 situation improved. However, that’s just not in the cards for us.”
Lakeside Inn’s casino is just shy of 18,000 square feet and the hotel has 123 rooms. THe property is expected to be offered to a variety of casino groups for purchase.
