Casinos and their poker rooms throughout Nevada are ramping up for a June 4 reopening, now that Gov. Steve Sisolak has given the go-ahead as part of the statewide COVID-19 response.
A number of casinos had notices on their websites this afternoon, indicating June 4 opening dates.
Over in Reno, casinos with poker rooms include the Peppermill, where poker room manager Mike Nelson says the room shall be open from 9am-1am daily starting June 4, playing 4-max with a $6 time rake per hour.
The Atlantis is Reno is keeping its poker room closed when the casino opens June 4, according to poker room staff. The Silver Legacy does not have its open-date posted, while the CalNeva is listed as opening, but no mention of its small poker room. Grand Sierra opens June 4, its poker room remaining closed at this time. There’s reopening dates through July 3 for various parts of Grand Sierra, the poker room among the TBD list.
Harveys Lake Tahoe is listed for a June 4 open date, with no mention if its poker room among the casino opening details.
Las Vegas casinos are making announcements throughout the day on June 4 openings and adding poker room information as the day goes along.
Wynn Las Vegas announced last week its poker room would remain closed when the casino opens. Venetian opens June 4, its poker room playing 4-max beginning opening day.
Caesars Palace is listed as a June 4 open date, no word about its poker room at this time. The various Stations Casinos in Las Vegas with poker rooms are going to keep poker closed when casinos first reopen, according to news reports.
Sahara Las Vegas now lists June 4 open, with the poker room opening date “coming soon.”
