The final four players in the $300,000 Guarantee Spring 2023 Peppermill Reno Poker Palooza Series $880 Main Event agree to alter the scheduled payouts and bring the event to its conclusion.
Chipleader Toan Nguyen receives the top cash payout, the winner’s medallion and the winner’s photo. Nguyen established the chiplead early in Day 2 when he eliminated Valerie Hanley is what was one of the largest pots played all day long.
Nguyen maintained his lead for the vast majority of the rest of the day, slipping back no further than the No. 2 slot as he worked his way to the win.
Jaime Navarro began the final table as chipleader, only to see Nguyen regain the lead quickly, with Navarro part of the four-way chop at the end.
The 7th-place finisher, Kon Wang, was down at one sage of Day 2 to less than 1bb while in the bb. He drew six callers on what was likely his final hand and a $1,650 payout – except for the fact he picked up two pair, doubled shortly thereafter, eventually knocking out the start-of-day chipleader Jason Mayer and finally cashing for $11,100.
Here’s the agreed payouts among the final four, and the entire official results. You’ll find all the series events and updates here.
