Today is the announcement some of the largest poker rooms in California are reopening on Friday.
The world’s largest poker room – Commerce Casino – announced via its Twitter feed this afternoon a 6am Friday reopening.
“A maximum of 8 seats players will be allowed with plexiglass dividers for poker. The type of games and limits will be updated on our website and app daily (refreshes every 15 mins) once we reopen. We will share an update on when tournaments return in the future,” a follow-up Tweet stated.
Shortly thereafter, the cardrooms of Bicycle Casino, Hawaiian Gardens and Hustler – all based in the Los Angeles area – all confirmed reopening Friday morning.
Smaller California cardrooms are beginning to reopen, some shifting a portion (or all) of their business the what’s referred to as “Cal-side’ games of blackjack, pai gow and more, with less emphasis on poker tables.
An updated-regularly list of poker rooms nationwide is available at Ante Up Magazine’s website.
