Nick Pupillo is the Season XV HPT Player of the Year, a title he wrapped up at the season championships but had pretty much locked up long before.
Pupillo won Event 2 in the season at Gates Poker Room in Black Hawk, CO. for a $194,478 score. A 16th-place finish in May at Ameristar East Chicago was followed by two final-table appearances – 7th back in Black Hawk in July and a runner-up finish in St. Louis just two weeks later.
Another East Chicago cash and a 13th at the third HPT Black Hawk stop in September gave Pupillo more than 300 season points and a big lead on the remainder of the field.
He earns $10,000 in HPT Main Event entries for Season XVI, along with hotel accommodations at the stops he chooses to use his entries. Pupillo’s Season XV HPT Earnings totaled $330,646.
