There’s two races going on today, one to see who can win the $550 Main Event and the other to see who can win the Series Champion title.
$26,704, a winner’s trophy and backpack to the Main Event winner.
A trophy, backpack, photo shoot with a banner to hang in the poker room and one complimentary every to EVERY Turlock Poker Room tournament from July 1 – November 30 to the Series Champion.
David Covarrubias (pictured, left)leads the Series Champion race, followed closely by Federico Ayala (pictured, right), with only five other players who can catch Covarrubias today.
To make things interesting – although it happened by pure luck of the draw – Covarrubias and Ayala start today sitting side-by-side on Table 4.
Ayala moved all-in on the second hand of the day, in to the BB of Covarrubias, but he drew no callers.
