LEVEL – 4 ANTE – 25 BLINDS – 75/150 ENTRIES – 56
THe Turlock Poker Room 15th Anniversary Series Champion earns one complimentary entry in to ALL TPR tournaments from July 1 – November 30, 2019 – that’s quite a prize for finishing atop the leaderboard in this 9-tournament series.
Eight of the events are complete and David Covarrubias leads with 250 points, 23 more than 2nd-place Federico Ayala.
The $550 Main Event appears to be trending toward a field of slightly more than 200 entries, meaning the Main Event winner is most likely going to earn 120 Series Champion points (110 points if the field is between 150-199 entries).
Using 120-for-first-place as a guide, that would mean seven players have a chance to overtake Covarrubias as win the Series Champion title.
Here’s the players with a chance to win the Series Champion title and how they earned their points. This is based on 200 or more Main Event entries. With 199 or fewer, Moore, Esho and Utke would not be able to earn enough points with a Main Event win to earn the title.
Then again, Covarrubias is playing today’s Day 1A and if he cashes, well, that makes it even tougher for everyone.
