Four players left in a RenoTahoe Main Event, and both Michael Pearson and Bill Watchman are still in the tourney.
Sound familiar?
Pearson won the 2016 WSOP Circuit Lake Tahoe Main Event for a $153,191 cash. Watchman was 4th for a $51,293 payday.
Well, here they are again, 4-handed in the Ante Up Poker Tour Reno Main Event … and we almost had the same outcome.
Watchman moves all-in on the 3-4-5-K turn, with Pearson snap-calling.
- Watchman shows King_Queen for top pair.
- Pearson shows 4-5 for the two middle pair.
River … 3 and Watchman reaches for his keys, preparing to head for the payout window, when the other players at the table point out the river paired the three, giving Watchman a better two pair.
“Well, that was embarrassing,” joked Watchman as he settled back down in his seat. “Go ahead and print that, I believe in a free press.”
Watchman moves to 1.1 million, Pearson to 1.5 million.
