The Word Series of Poker Circuit is coming back to the poker room at Thunder Valley Casino Resort for a tournament series from September 28 – October 9. The property is in Lincoln, California that sits on the outskirts of Sacramento.
The Opener tournament is a $400 buy-in NLH tournament kicking things off Sept. 28-Oct. 1. There’s four starting flights, and the guaranteed prize pool is $250,000.
Everything leads up to the Main Event from Oct. 6-9 to close out the tournament series on a high note. The buy-in is $1,700 in the event also awards a WSOPC gold ring to the champion, along with an entry in the season-ending Tournament of Champions held during the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas. All circuit riing winners at all 2023/24 stops receive a Tournament of Champions entry. There are three starting flights, with one re-entry available per flight. The guaranteed prize pool stands at $500,000.
Other games spread in addition to Hold’em include HORSE, Omaha 8, Pot-Limit Omaha, and 2-7 Triple Draw. A few other highlights include a Seniors event on the first day of the series, a $400 buy-in Monster Stack event with a $50,000 guarantee, and a $1,125 buy-in Last Call with a $100,000 guarantee.
