The World Poker Tour announces its WPTDeepStacks tour $1 Million Guaranteed $2,500 Season Championship this year is set for Dec. 4-7 at Thunder Valley Resort’s TVPokerRoom.
“We are elated to announce the return of the WPTDeepStacks Championship at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. It will be a wonderful way to finish an incredible year of poker as we have seen the game surge in attendance across the country,” said Thunder Valley Director of Poker Operations, Ben Erwin. “The Poker Room at Thunder Valley has proven to be an incredible venue for large scale events. We take great pride in being the location of the WPTDS Championship and look forward to providing every player with an incredible experience.”
The event caps off the latest season for WPTDeepStacks North America with champions crowned in all corners of the continent, now wrapping up at Thunder Valley.
The WPTDeepStacks Championship is an open event to all players. WPTDeepStacks Champions earned their $3,000 entry package during their respective events to buy-in to the tournament, including the $2,500 championship buy-in.
“WPTDeepStacks is thrilled to return to Thunder Valley for the WPTDS Championship this December to wrap up our season,” said Cathy Zhao, WPTDeepStacks director. “Thunder Valley is one of the best destinations on tour and players can expect a great time both playing the event as well as multiple fun activities off the felt.”
WPTDeepStacks Champions who earned their seat for this event include Season VIII WPT Player of the Year Faraz Jaka, who won WPTDeepStacks Blackhawk, WPTDeepStacks Montreal champion Jack Salter, and WPTDeepStacks Hollywood champion Jason Young.
The WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year points race concludes at the WPTDeepStacks Championship. The winner receives a $10,000 WPT Passport eligible at any WPT live event, up to four nights of complimentary accommodations at select WPTDeepStacks North America stops and a custom trophy from the World Poker Tour. Second place in the points race receives a $3,500 WPT Passport, and third place takes home a $1,500 WPT Passport.
WPTDeepStacks Venetian and the WPTDeepStacks Championship winners are also eligible for the WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year leaderboard.
