Thunder Valley Casino and Resort hosts another World Series of Poker Circuit series to continue a strong start to the new year from January 16 – 27 in Lincoln, California. The tournament series comes on the heels of the TVP Uncork 2025 Champagne Series, and is the second WSOP Circuit stop of the 2025 season as well.
Step satellites begin inside TVPokerRoom on January 13, so players have plenty of opportunities to win seats during the event along with all of the other satellites running throughout the tournament stop. The satellites feature prizes ranging from $500-$1,700 packages.
Everything in the series leads up to the WSOP Circuit Main Event January 24-27. The tournament has a buy-in of $1,700 with a $500,000 Guarantee. There’s two starting flights January 24-25 open for players to join the field with re-entries. Starting stacks are 40,000 with 40-minute opening-day levels of play. Day 2 runs January 26, and the final table plays down to a champion on January 27.
The big kickoff event is the $400 buy-in The Opener tournament featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. Starting flights run Thursday-Saturday of the opening weekend on January 16-18, with Day 2 wrapping up the action on Sunday, January 19. A $600 buy-in NLHE event also plays out on that Sunday, and it has a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The other marquee events on the tournament lineup include a $100,000 guaranteed Monster Stack $400 NLHE event from January 22-23. There is also a $3,250 High Roller that plays out over January 23-24. The last Sunday of the tournament series ends strong with a $400 buy-in Thirty-Thirty event, and a $1,125 buy-in Last Call tournament with a $100,000 guarantee.
And if you’re looking for poker variations other than NLH, there is PLO8, Omaha 8, and TORSE (Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw, Omaha 8, Razz, Stud, Stud 8OB) in the mix as well during different points of the tournament series.
