Our focus is how we can all help others during the COVID19 quarantine. We have organized a way to help provide food for those in need during this time.
Our chosen fundraiser is for The Salvation Army and its food distribution program – and we are asking you to help. Many poker players are taking to the online streets to keep playing, and we are asking you to consider not only a one-time donation but also regularly donating 1 or 2 percent of your tournament winnings to help others during this nationwide, this worldwide emergency.
Our focus right now is not who can bet the most to win, it is who can win by helping the most.
My wife’s career with Salvation Army is coordinating food distribution and social services for dozens of small communities. Her region extends throughout northern California, up to the Oregon border, clear across California through Nevada and near the Utah border, then down to near Las Vegas. The region stretches thousands of miles, reaching areas where people have few services available when they need help.
Help us continue helping those in need – and those who have now joined the ranks of those in need as their jobs are lost, their incomes gone during this time.
This is the direct link to make your donation online, and please consider sharing the donation page with friends and family.
