One of the country’s largest casinos and poker rooms – Seminole Hard Rock Tampa in Florida – opens this Thursday evening. Plexiglass dividers on tables is installed, one of the first to put this health measure in place.
23 poker room tables are going to be available, 6-max play, and staff indicates via their website, “cards and chips will be cleaned on a regular basis,” under a, “Safe and Sound,” program, according to a Tweet from the venue.
Both staff and players are required to wear masks, according to the venue website.
A larger number of casinos and poker rooms are announcing openings in the coming two weeks. Jamul San Diego is set to be the first California casino with its poker room open, also set for this Thursday.
A small northern California cardroom was the first in the state to open, play began yesterday. Texas cardrooms appear to be opening in greater numbers than other parts of the state, according to players in that area.
