Poker tournament fans across the globe have their calendars out, plotting travel days to Las Vegas this summer as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) released its 2026 schedule this morning.
Some new events are added, a few have been replaced, and for the most part the overall 100-bracelet-event schedule looks quite similar to last year’s.
This year’s Main Event has no announced date for final-table action, showing Opening-Day flights July 2-5, registration open for two additional Day 2 levels on both July 6 and 7, with July 13 (Day 8) as the possible play-down day to the final table. The structure sheet shows Days 9-11 as TBD.
Jeff Platt, newly-announced as Global Broadcast Talent for the WSOP, announced via his Twitter feed there are planned daily livestreams and broadcasts for free via the WSOP’s YouTube channel, ending when the Main Event begins. This hints there is no broadcast partner finalized for how the Main Event is going to be presented to the viewing public, we’ll wait on that announcement.
Starting it Off
Event 1 of 100 kicks off this year as a $500 entry Mini Mystery Millions with an offer of a $1 Million Mystery Bounty out there.
The schedule shows one starting flight per day May 26-30, indicating two re-entries available per flight, for a maximum of 15 entries per player.
Circuit Championship Added
One of the additions is a $1,700 WSOP Circuit Championship starting June 2, showing two available re-entries.
We checked with Platt and TJ Reid – newly-hired US Manager for WSOP Circuit – who confirmed this tournament is NOT a replacement for WSOP Circuit ring winners to their previously-announced $5,000 WSOP Paradise packages.
This event, Reid stated, is open to anyone wishing to play the tournament. The December event (Entry Fee/Date/Time TBD) in the Bahamas includes a free entry for every person winning a ring in 2026.
Coming Next
Work now accelerates for Las Vegas-based poker rooms such as Wynn, Venetian, Orleans, Southpoint and perhaps Golden Nugget and MGM Grand on preparing complimentary VegasSummerCamp schedules.
We expect throughout March and into April to see these rooms publish their schedules, with players adding events to their calendars for non-bracelet-event days. We’ll update our Event Calendar with the VegasSummerCamp tournaments as they become available.
